Gaza - Saba:
The Zionist Physicians for Human Rights organization reported last night that it received a response from the enemy army that the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, Dr. Kamal Abu Safia, was not in its prisons.
The organization said in a statement according to the Palestinian Safa Agency that it had submitted an urgent request to visit Dr. Abu Safia immediately after his arrest, which was documented by cameras from inside Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, but it was surprised by the response of the party responsible for coordinating visits to prisoners in the occupation army that there was no information indicating his presence in any of the army's prisons or facilities.
While the army denied the presence of Dr. Abu Safia after cameras documented his arrest on December 27 after the army forces stormed the hospital, where Abu Safia was seen walking towards a military personnel carrier and was taken from there for investigation.
The army also denied that Abu Safia was under arrest despite the army spokesman’s admission the day after his arrest that he was in the army’s custody and was transferred for investigation, as he has disappeared since that day.
The organization indicated that the Israeli court gave the army authorities a week to disclose the whereabouts of the hospital director.
