The Russian Defense Ministry announced Friday that its forces were able to regain control of the towns of Novotroitskoye and Novolynovka and eliminate 12,455 Ukrainian soldiers, during the past week.
The Russian Defense Ministry said, in its weekly report on the progress of military operations in Ukraine, that its forces directed 12 strikes against Ukrainian forces, factories and ammunition depots during the period from December 28 to January 3, and bombed military airports and drone warehouses.
The report added that the Russian air defenses were able to shoot down a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter, three Hamir guided bombs, and 33 HIMARS missiles, in addition to shooting down 559 Ukrainian drones.
