Beijing - Saba:
The Chinese company (CAS Space) failed Friday to launch the (Kinetika-1) rocket, which was scheduled to carry 11 satellites into orbit.
The company said in a statement on its WeChat page “The rocket was launched from the Dongfeng site in northern China at 09:03 Beijing time (04:03 Moscow time). Three seconds after launch, a problem occurred in the rocket’s third-stage engine, as a result of which the alarm system was activated and the rocket was destroyed.”
The company apologized to its customers and project supporters, and promised to conduct an investigation into the causes of the incident as soon as possible and to do everything in its power to ensure the success of subsequent missions.
NASA stated that CAS Space was planning to launch 11 satellites into orbit during this mission, including a model of the (Der-3) satellite developed by the Chinese (Der-3) company, and the small CASAA-Sat satellite of the Marseille Astrophysical Laboratory.
It is worth noting that the (Kinetika-1) rocket is a Chinese solid-fuel space rocket, 31 meters long, 3.35 meters in diameter, and can carry payloads. It weighs up to two tons and reaches low Earth orbit.
