The Tenders Committee in Al-Bayda Governorate approved in its meeting today under the chairmanship of Governor Abdullah Idris the tenders of several service and development projects at 440 million riyals.
The tenders included a ferry project in Radman district, at 100 million riyals, to drain rainwater and torrents, as well as a project to pave Al-Shaheed Al-Omari Street in Al-Arsh district at 45 million riyals funded by the local authority, and the addition of eight million riyals within the local authority's contribution to the project of the martyr leader checkpoint in Al-Riachia district, and eight million riyals for the Bir Al-Shawaher checkpoint project in Ould Rabie district.
The tenders also included the purchase of three cars for the executive unit of projects for 48 million riyals, a grader for 61 million riyals, two debts with an asphalt sprinkler and a diesel tank for 18 million riyals, and the local authority's contribution of two million and 300 thousand riyals to implement the sewage project of Al-Thawra General Hospital in Al-Bayda.
The approved tenders included a project to build three classrooms with annexes to Ammar bin Yasser School in Al-Quraishiyah district for 45 million and 350 thousand riyals funded by the local authority, stone paving for rugged areas with the construction of retaining walls in the Al-Arif area in Numan district at 31 million and 496 thousand riyals, a project to build and survey the Dathran road in the walled district at 24 million riyals, maintenance of stores to be used for agricultural purposes for three million riyals, and the purchase of medicines and medical supplies at five million riyals.
The Committee referred several projects to the Technical Committee for study and appropriate action.
