Sana'a – Saba:
Districts across the Capital Sana'a on Wednesday commenced community events and meetings to commemorate the Day of al-Wilayah (Guardianship), under the slogan "Whoever I am his master, then this Ali is his master."
In al-Sabeen district, a preparatory meeting featuring MP Ali al-Kaboudi and scholars emphasized the historical significance of the Day of al-Wilayah, stating that the nation's abandonment of this principle led to its weakness.
Speakers underscored the importance of learning from Imam Ali's life for sacrifice and courage, and called for intensified mobilization for central celebrations.
Al-Wahda and al-Safiah districts also hosted events. Fouad Naji of the Yemeni Scholars Association affirmed that commemorating al-Wilayah solidifies allegiance to Allah, the Prophet, and Imam Ali, and hostility to their enemies. He stressed that this principle elevates national awareness to confront tyrants and those normalizing relations with America and Israel, asserting it is an extension of the Prophet's message.
Meanwhile, the General Mobilization organized cultural events in Shu'ub, al-Tahrir, Old Sana'a, and Bani al-Harith districts, with First Undersecretary Khaled al-Madani attending.
Speeches urged widespread attendance at central events, emphasizing that the anniversary reminds the nation of the importance of guardianship/ al-Wilayah for victory, pride, and dignity, contrasting it with the weakness caused by its abandonment.
