Barcelona announced Tuesday the absence of its striker Ferran Torres from the team for an undisclosed period, due to the injury he sustained in his team's last match against Atletico Madrid in the last round of the Spanish Football League.
The club said, in a statement, that the player left the team's match against Atletico Madrid due to a muscle injury.
Torres left the field in the 64th minute and was replaced by Gavi, in the match that Barcelona lost (2-1), which led to its decline to third place in the league standings with 38 points from winning 12 matches, drawing two matches and losing five other matches.
It is noteworthy that Torres returned a short time ago from an injury he sustained in mid-October.
