The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted cold and very cold weather with the possibility of frost formation in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects very cold weather in the governorates of Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, Sa'ada, Ibb Highlands, Dhale' and western Al-Jawf, with the possibility of frost forming in parts of them.
While the weather may be cold to very cold in parts of the governorates of Marib, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramawt and Mahra.
According to the center, the weather is likely to be cold in the highlands of the governorates of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Rima and Taiz, and relatively dry and dusty in the deserts and inner plateaus.
He stated that the lowest temperatures recorded at some weather stations this morning were as follows / Dhamar: -1.5, Amran: 0.4, Sana'a: 1.2, Dhi Na'im - Al-Bayda: -1.
The center warned citizens of the cold and very cold weather during the night and early morning hours, especially the elderly, children and the sick.
He called on farmers to take care and caution against the effects of extremely cold weather and the need to take the necessary measures to protect crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry keepers to shelter them in healthy and warm places.
