Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday called for overcoming all difficulties facing the serial production of weapons, including hypersonic ones.
This came during President Putin's speech during the expanded meeting of the Council of Leaders of the Russian Defense Ministry in the presence of Defense Minister Andrei Belousov.
Putin said "It is necessary to correct all problems with the serial production of weapons and the deployment of offensive weapons, including hypersonic weapons."
In his speech, the Russian president referred to the risks associated with the deployment of American medium-range missiles in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
He promised to start serial production of the hypersonic Oreshnik missile soon, noting that the military and political situation in the world is still difficult and unstable, and the current US administration and the Western powers have not yet abandoned their attempts to maintain their hegemony.
