Sana'a-Saba:
Yemen Basketball Association approved the start of the Republic Championship for first-class clubs, youth category (born in 2005), on December 23 in the capital, Sana'a.
Eight clubs are participating in the six-day tournament: Wehdat Sana'a, Ahli Sana'a, Al-Tilal (Al-Tilal (Shaab Hadramawt), Seiyun, Al-Mina, Shamsan and Al-Barq.
Al-Ahly Club Hall in Sana'a will host the championship competitions with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the funding of the Youth, Youth and Sports Welfare Fund, within the framework of implementing the activities and programs of the Federation for the season 2024/2025.
The teams participating in the tournament were divided into two groups, the first of which includes Shaab Hadramawt, Ahli Sana'a, Seiyun, and Shamsan, while the second group includes teams, Al-Mina, Sana'a Unit, Al-Barq, and Al-Tilal.
The teams of each group play among themselves in an all-you-all system of one round, so that the first and second of each group qualify for the semi-finals, which will be held in a "scissors" manner to determine the two teams qualified for the final match.
