Sana'a (Saba) -Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, extended his congratulations to the Yemeni people, the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, members of the Supreme Political Council, and the heroes of the armed forces and security, on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the glorious November 30th Independence Day.
President Al-Mashat pointed out in his speech this evening on this national occasion that the Yemeni people were able on November 30 to crown their long struggles and sacrifices by bringing down the curtain on the British colonial presence in our country with the departure of the last soldier from the smiling land of Aden.
He stressed that just as the contributions of fathers and grandfathers bore fruit in the fields of struggle against the colonizer until complete liberation from it, today we are also concerned with studying this experience and benefiting from its gains in light of our great national battle against the new colonialism.
He pointed out that the flame of armed struggle ignited by the sons of Yemen after the October 14 revolution, starting from the countryside to the city, starting from the simplest peasant to the elite classes, with the least capabilities and the most precious sacrifices, achieved the great victory by evacuating British colonialism, despite the great difference in capabilities and capacities.
The president explained that what happened in terms of polarization of Yemeni political forces to the side of the foreign occupier is nothing but the result of negligence in the past stage.
He stressed that the attempts of the American enemy, along with the British enemy, these days to incite against our country and attempt to cause an escalation here or there are in service and support of the Israeli enemy, in addition to their attempts to reproduce some agents and mercenaries with new titles and molds.
