Speaker of the Parliament Yahya al-Ra'i on Wednesday sent a congratulatory message to Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, celebrating Lebanon's victory and resistance against the Zionist enemy.
In his message, al-Ra'i, on behalf of himself and the members of the Yemeni Parliament, congratulated the Speaker, members of the Lebanese Parliament, and the Lebanese people, particularly their brave resistance forces, for their triumph in thwarting Israel’s criminal plans to undermine Lebanon.
Al-Ra'i highlighted the significant victory achieved by the Lebanese Islamic Resistance, particularly with the implementation of the ceasefire, which reflected their steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause. He commended the sacrifices made by the resistance in support of Palestine, especially during the ongoing aggression and siege faced by the Palestinian people.
He praised the resistance’s ability to overcome military disparities, emphasizing the resilience of the Lebanese people and Hezbollah in confronting Israeli aggression.
Al-Ra'i stressed that Lebanon’s victory, which reinforced its sovereignty and independence, is not surprising given the bravery and determination of the Lebanese people and their resistance.
The Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament also emphasized the need for greater unity and cohesion among all Lebanese forces to ensure the stability, security, and unity of Lebanon in the face of external threats.
He expressed pride in the accomplishments of the Islamic Resistance and the broader resistance axis, reaffirming the Yemeni people’s solidarity with Lebanon and Palestine in their struggle to defend their land and sanctities.
Al-Ra'i concluded by reiterating Yemen’s unwavering support for Lebanon and Palestine, expressing hope for the ultimate victory in their fight against invaders and occupiers.
