The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas stressed that its position on the new US administration depends on its positions and practical behavior towards the Palestinian people, their legitimate rights and their just cause.
Hamas said in a statement on Wednesday: "The new American administration must realize that our Palestinian people are continuing to confront the abominable occupation, and that they will not accept any path that diminishes their legitimate rights to freedom, independence, self-determination and the establishment of their independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital," Hamas said in a statement on Wednesday.
It called on the US president-elect to listen to the voices that have been raised from the American society itself for more than a year since the aggression against Gaza Strip, rejecting the occupation , genocide, objecting to the support and bias towards the entity.
Earlier on Wednesday, Republican candidate Donald Trump announced his victory in the 2024 US elections, making him the 47th president of the United States.
