The national men's basketball team began on Tuesday, an internal training camp in the capital, Sana'a, in preparation for participating in the 26th Arab Men's Basketball Championship, which will be held in November.
The players of the national team held their first training at the sports hall of Al-Ahli Club in Sana'a under the leadership of the head of the technical staff of the team, national coach Dr. Caesar Alami, and his assistant Mohammed Al-Hadidi, with the participation of 25 players representing the initial list of the team, with the support of the Youth and Sports Ministry , with the support of the Youth and Sports Ministry.
The General Basketball Federation held a mini-celebration yesterday evening in the presence of Secretary General Jamal Mohamed Ibrahim, the coaching staff and the players to celebrate the glorious October 14 Revolution 61st anniversary .
The national team's indoor camp is scheduled to last for two weeks before heading to the Arab championship.
Abdul Sattar Al-Hamdani, President of the Yemeni Basketball Federation, explained that the federation's leadership has completed the arrangements and preparations related to the camp and created the appropriate climate to ensure the success of the preparatory camp, praising the cooperation of the Youth and Sports Ministry in this field.
Al-Hamdani pointed out that the leadership of the federation and the technical staff of the team are making great efforts to hold an external camp in order to ensure that the national team appears in the Arab championship in a way that honors Yemen, and if it is not possible to hold an external camp, the team will continue in its internal camp in Sana'a.
He praised the efforts of the technical staff of the national team and their keenness to ensure the success of the team's preparation phase in order to ensure the participation of Yemeni basketball in this important Arab forum.
