Marib – SABA:
Cultural seminars were organized in the districts of Al-Jubah, Mahliyah, and Rahbah in Marib Governorate to commemorate the anniversary of the Blessed Hijra (Migration) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
The seminars focused on the lessons and wisdom to be derived from the Hijra and the importance of continually highlighting these lessons to demonstrate their significance in transforming the Ummah's reality, strengthening its unity, cohesion, and faith.
Speakers emphasized the exceptional nature of the Hijra as a pivotal event that had profound positive impacts on the Muslim community—both at the time and to this day. They reviewed the key milestones and transformations that led the Prophet (PBUH) to migrate to Medina, an event later recognized as the beginning of the Islamic calendar.
The discussions summarized the hardships and fierce opposition faced by early Muslims in Mecca from the leaders of disbelief, as well as the moral resilience they maintained. The seminars highlighted how the foundation of the Islamic state began to take shape after the Hijra in Medina, marking the rise of a civilization that would later govern vast parts of the world.
