Sana'a - Saba: Shura Council has strongly condemned the Zionist entity's ongoing massacres in Palestine and Lebanon, calling them a "stain on humanity" and a mark of shame for the Arab and Islamic nations, accusing them of submissive silence in the face of Zionist atrocities.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Council denounced the brutal bombing of Lebanon's southern suburb by Zionist forces. The attack, involving highly explosive bombs, leveled residential areas, resulting in numerous civilian casualties and injuries.
The Shura Council criticized the U.S. administration's response, accusing it of using misleading rhetoric to absolve itself of responsibility for the Zionist regime's crimes, both in Lebanon and Palestine. The Council stressed that the U.S. remains the primary backer of the Zionist entity through financial, military, and political support, and that its attempts to deflect blame are merely attempts to enable further massacres.
The statement also expressed outrage at the paralysis of Arab and Islamic governments in response to the Zionist attacks, asserting that such massacres would not occur without the complicity and silence of these regimes.
The Council reiterated that force is the only way to end Zionist aggression, calling for Arab and Islamic unity across military, political, economic, and cultural fronts to counter Zionist arrogance.
In its concluding remarks, the Shura Council urged the global community and freedom-loving peoples worldwide to take a firm stance and act urgently to stop the Zionist crimes that have persisted in Gaza for nearly a year and now extend to Lebanon in what it described as a dangerous escalation threatening to plunge the region into full-scale war.
The Council also held the United Nations and its affiliated bodies, including the Security Council, responsible for failing to take effective measures to halt Zionist crimes. The latest escalation, which included over 40 airstrikes on southern Lebanon using bombs weighing more than 2,000 pounds, coincided with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's address to the United Nations General Assembly, further highlighting the need for urgent international action.
