HAJJAH - SABA: A speech event was held in Hajjah province on Saturday to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the September 21 revolution, organized by local authorities and general mobilization forces.
Hajjah governor Hilal al-Sufi highlighted the revolution’s role in dismantling political alliances that served foreign interests and provoking intense aggression from outside forces.
He asserted that the revolution united various national factions, effectively countering attempts to divide Yemen and impose international control.
Al-Sufi praised the advancements made under the revolution, including strengthening the military, enhancing local production capabilities, and revitalizing security services. He emphasized the importance of acknowledging the sacrifices of martyrs, the wounded, and prisoners in the ongoing struggle for national sovereignty.
The event also featured remarks from local leaders, including Secretary-General Ismail Al-Muhayyam and Deputy Ahmed Al-Akhfash, who underscored the Yemeni people’s resilience against global powers. They praised the revolution for fostering unity and preventing societal divisions.
Abdullah Mayah, from the University of Quranic Sciences, noted that the September 21 Revolution was a necessary response to rampant injustice, steering Yemen away from foreign dependency.
Mayah contrasted the country’s state before the revolution with its current military capabilities and national pride.
