BUCHAREDT - (Saba): The death toll from Storm Boris in Romania has risen to six, while one person is still missing, Romania's emergency services said on Monday.

Emergency services added in a statement that one person had been reported killed in the Galati district as a result of weather conditions in recent days.

In total, about 6,000 Romanian families were affected by Storm Boris, and about 300 residents sought refuge in tents erected for them by the Roman authorities.

Bad weather is affecting the whole of Central and Eastern Europe, with one person drowning in Poland and a firefighter killed in Austria, and four missing in the Czech Republic.
