Hajjah – Saba:

Hajjah governorate on Saturday commemorated the Day of al-Wilayah of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) with large-scale festive and rhetorical events held across 33 squares in the governorate center and various districts.

Thousands gathered in designated areas, including the governorate center, al-Mahabesha, Aflah al-Sham, Aflah Yemen, al-Shahel, and many other districts.

Attendees, which included Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Abdulrahman al-Jumai, Ministers of Finance Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed, Health Dr. Ali Shiban, Agriculture Dr. Radwan al-Rubai, and Transport and Public Works Mohammed Quhaim, along with Governors Hilal al-Sufi of Hajjah and Abdullah Atifi of Hodeidah, and Mobilization Official Hammoud Al-Maghrabi, chanted slogans emphasizing the strong connection between Yemenis and Imam Ali and expressing loyalty and disavowal of Islam's enemies.

Participants affirmed their adherence to the principle of al-Wilayah and vowed to confront the enemies of the homeland and the nation.

The participants viewed the commemoration of al-Wilayah Day as a long-standing tradition to strengthen their bond and loyalty to Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib.

They reaffirmed their commitment to Imam Ali's righteous approach in confronting forces of arrogance, embodying the principle of al-Wilayah as essential for preserving the nation's entity, pride, and independence, and for confronting enemies effectively.

At the central event in the governorate, al-Jumai highlighted the significance of the anniversary, noting its coincidence with serious regional and Arab developments, particularly the ongoing "Zionist aggression on Gaza."

He stated, "Today we are in a great occasion that comes and everyone has reached a real sorting stage between truth and falsehood."

Al-Jumai asserted that the celebration reiterates that the true path for the nation is that of Imam Ali's al-Wilayah, stressing that after 1,400 years, it is clear that adhering to this path is the only way for survival. He contrasted leaders who "cannot speak the word of truth on the Palestinian issue" with the Yemeni leadership that "stood up to say the word of truth and victory to the brothers in Gaza."

In al-Mahabesha, Finance Minister Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed praised the people of Hajjah and al-Sharafeen for their loyalty, generosity, and resilience against aggression.

He connected the celebration to the birthplace of prominent scholar Dr. al-Murtada bin Zaid al-Muhatwari, viewing it as an opportunity to draw inspiration from Imam Ali's wisdom, patience, courage, asceticism, and steadfastness.

Minister Abduljbbar also linked the Yemeni people's adherence to the Quranic project to their success in confronting invasion and protecting themselves from "extraneous cultures." He called for learning from Imam Ali's steadfastness in principles.

Local Secretary-General Ismail al-Muhaim commended the public's participation, highlighting the importance of Wilayat Day in renewing loyalty to God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali. He noted that celebrating Imam Ali's Wilayah protects the nation from infiltration and corrects its course amid regional challenges.

The participants throughout the events consistently emphasized that the nation's failure to grasp the true concept of al-Wilayah in Islam has left it vulnerable to rulers of injustice and authorities of tyranny. They argued that abandoning divine al-Wilayah leads to submission to Jews and Christians, asserting that al-Wilayah is not merely a doctrinal slogan but a practical commitment embodying loyalty and a translation of divine principles into real-world behavior.

They stressed that true al-Wilayah means complete obedience to God and represents a state of awareness and interaction with all national issues from a Quranic perspective.

Calls were made to rebuild the nation's collective identity on the foundation of loyalty to Allah, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the beacons of guidance, rather than on nationalist, sectarian, partisan, or regional affiliations. The Holy Quran, they stated, links the nation's fate to its adherence to Allah's Wilayah, and without the correct understanding of al-Wilayah, the nation loses its effectiveness and falls into darkness. There was a strong emphasis on studying Imam Ali's personality as a way of life and educating future generations about him as the ideal Islamic model of justice, faith, and leadership, advocating for the application of the principle of guardianship in all aspects of life.

The widespread festivities included poems, chants, and folk dances, all expressing the profound significance of the anniversary in the hearts of Yemenis.
