NEW YORK September 05. 2024 (Saba)- The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, called on ,on Thursday, international media organizations and journalists to pressure the Zionist enemy entity to enter the Gaza Strip , convey the suffering and support their colleagues there.
Lazzarini wrote in a blog post on his account on the "X" platform: "International journalists' coverage of conflicts and wars is a constant, but not in Gaza."
"For nearly 11 months, international media crews have been prevented from freely entering Gaza to report on the humanitarian crisis and the consequences of the war."
"International media access to Gaza is essential to independently present the enormous humanitarian needs and the extensive efforts of relief organizations against all odds," he stressed.
He also stressed the need for "international news organizations to exert more pressure to enter Gaza and report freely on the events taking place there."
Palestinian and international media outlets have repeatedly warned against the Zionist enemy's targeting of media crews in Gaza and called for their protection, amid Zionist disregard for these calls.
