OCCUPIED QUDS September 04. 2024 (Saba)- The leader of the so-called Zionist opposition, Yair Lapid, emphasized today, Wednesday, that the survival of Benjamin Netanyahu's government means the continuation of this war.
"The war continues as long as this government remains and the state must end this war on its own terms," Lapid said in statements.
He added: "Ending the war is in Israel's interest, considering that this is a security, economic and political interest."
During a press conference held by the two former ministers of the War Cabinet, Benny Gantz said, "Netanyahu will not bring the detainees in Gaza back alive because he is preoccupied with political survival," adding, "There is a lack of timely strategic decision-making and a failure to get to the right places in Gaza.
Gantz added: "We have to monitor the Philadelphia axis with Egypt and our partners, and if there is a need to return to the axis, we can," Gantz added, believing at the same time that "Hamas has an interest in keeping the hostages alive and we must reach an agreement to return them, and Ben-Gvir's presence in this or any other government is inappropriate." According to him.
This came in the wake of the speech described by the Hebrew media as "disastrous" by the Prime Minister of the occupation entity, Netanyahu, on Monday, in which he emphasized adhering to the condition that Israeli forces remain in the "Philadelphia axis" and not going to a prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian resistance except on his own conditions.
