JENIN September 02. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist aggression on Jenin and its camp since last Wednesday until Monday has resulted in the martyrdom of 17 Palestinian citizens, the injury and arrest of dozens, and the widespread destruction of citizens' property, public and private facilities, and infrastructure, including the water and electricity networks.
The Palestinian news agency reported that last night the young man Laith Marwan Shawahne was martyred and another was injured in the shelling of an occupation march in the town of Al-Sila Al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, and the occupation forces had entered the town, raided the House of the martyr Rafat pedal, and took his measurements in preparation for its demolition.
Also on Sunday, Abdullah Nasser Hammo and the child Mohammed Mahmoud Hammo were martyred after the occupation forces opened fire on them at the entrance to the town of Kafardan, west of Jenin, while trying to distribute bread to the besieged citizens on the outskirts of Jenin.
At dawn today, the occupation forces stormed the village of Deir Abu Khaib east of Jenin and arrested two young men and another from the town of Yamoun, while the occupation forces arrested the freed prisoner Yahya Zubaidi, the brother of the prisoner Zakaria Zubaidi, after breaking into his house in the Jabriyat neighborhood.
On Sunday morning, occupation mechanisms swept away the Post Street and the vicinity of the Cinema roundabout in the center of Jenin and a number of shops in the commercial market in the center of Jenin, in addition to bulldozing the Yahya Ayyash roundabout and the Badia roundabout.
The occupation forces continue to forcibly evict families from their homes, as the occupation forced families living in the Abdullah Azzam neighborhood of Jenin camp to leave their homes, as well as families from the AL-Damaj, Al-Soha, and Fallujah neighborhoods.
In the camp yard, the occupation detained the residents and interrogated them on the ground, while the camp witnessed raids, searches, and mass arrests.
The occupation forces withdrew late yesterday evening from the eastern neighborhood after a five-day siege, and the withdrawal showed a huge devastation in the infrastructure and streets and significant destruction in the homes of citizens.
Eyewitnesses said that the occupation forces withdrew from the Khalid bin al-Walid Mosque, which was occupied by a military barracks, after desecrating it, smashing its windows, and leaving food and drink waste in it.
The occupation maintained the siege of the city's hospitals and prevented ambulances from transporting patients, while the occupation soldiers attacked volunteer crews who tried to transport food and supplies to the besieged families in the Jenin Camp.
