SANA'A September 01. 2024 (Saba)– The Shura Council, led by Chairman Mohammed Al-Aidaroos, convened on Sunday to review a report on the impact of Yemeni and Islamic communities in exposing injustices faced by Yemen and Palestine.

The report, presented by Eng. Lutfi al-Jarmouzi, detailed the active role of these communities in highlighting violations committed by what is termed the "triple aggression" of the U.S., U.K., and Israel/Occupation.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ali al-Maamari, outlined efforts to enhance communication with Yemeni communities abroad.

The ministry aims to boost engagement through external communication initiatives, connecting over 89 Yemeni communities with international activists and disseminating information in multiple languages.

Chairman Al-Aidaroos emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to strengthen ties with expatriates, support their diplomatic roles, and encourage investment in Yemen.

He stressed the importance of addressing recommendations from the Political Committee's report to improve ongoing communication and investment strategies.

The meeting also reviewed the draft report on the Council's activities and achievements over the past year, approved previous decisions, and discussed the impact of recent severe weather conditions.

The Shura Council highlighted the need to support the Central Emergency Committee, increase emergency budgets, and launch national and international relief campaigns.

The Council urged the formation of a permanent national committee to manage natural disaster responses and improve flood risk management.

Members were encouraged to collaborate with local authorities to support relief efforts for affected areas.

The Shura Council commended the Government of Change and Construction for its response to the flood-related crises, noting efforts to provide immediate relief and restore affected regions.
