SANA'A August 31. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting at the Oil Exploration and Production Authority (OPA), chaired by Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, discussed on Saturday the authority's activities, tasks, strategies and difficulties.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals Mohammed Al-Najjar, Undersecretary of the Ministry Nasser Al-Aji, Assistant Undersecretary for Mineral Affairs Dr. Yahya Al-Ajam and Chairman of the Commission Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Ghaffari, reviewed the activities and tasks of the Commission, methods of promotion , international competitions and the stages of receiving companies' applications, in addition to the Commission's strategy and future plans.
Oil and Minerals Minister stressed the Ministry's keenness to support the efforts of the Authority, and work to address the difficulties it faces and activate its various activities and programs.
He praised the Authority's information, maps and databases that enhance the current and future work in the oil and exploration fields, pointing out the importance of utilizing the Authority's information stock to serve the directions aimed at advancing the oil sector as one of the most important economic sectors in Yemen.
Dr. Al-Amir pointed out the importance of focusing on priorities in various fields to achieve the desired goals and support the government's directives and programs towards change and construction.
