WASHINGTON August 28. 2024 (Saba) - The American website "Axios" revealed today, Wednesday, that the Red Sea is currently devoid of any American ships.

The website published a map of the distribution of American naval vessels in the West Asia region. . The map it published shows that "there are no American ships currently in the Red Sea."

The website indicated that in the Gulf of Oman and the Mediterranean there are 18 American naval vessels, distributed as follows: In the Gulf of Oman, there are now two aircraft carriers with eight American destroyers, while in the Mediterranean there is a submarine, three destroyers and three amphibious ships, while there is no ship, destroyer or submarine in the Red Sea.

The Commander of the American Red Sea Fleet, Admiral Mark Meigs, stated yesterday that the US leadership rejected proposals to strike Yemen with greater force due to fears of a response from Iran... in the absence of a US presence in the Red Sea.
