MADRID August 28. 2024 (Saba) - Spanish football club Espanyol announced the signing of Moroccan striker Walid Chedira, coming from Napoli on loan.

The club said in a statement last night: Chedira signed a one-season loan contract to become an official player for the team in the new season.

This is the second loan for the 26-year-old Moroccan player from Napoli, as he was previously loaned to Frosinone before joining Espanyol.

Chedira had joined Napoli from Bari in a deal worth seven million euros, where he participated in 39 matches with the team in all competitions, scoring eight goals.

It is noteworthy that Espanyol's start to the new season in the Spanish League was stumbling, as it lost to Valladolid (0-1) in the first round, and to Real Sociedad by the same result in the second round, while it will face Atletico Madrid tomorrow, Wednesday, in the third round.
