MOSCOW August 28. 2024 (Saba) - Russian Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday that his country will triumph in the special military operation because its people have what it takes to achieve this, which is character and love for the motherland.
During a meeting with participants in the special military operation, Medvedev was quoted by the Novosti news agency as saying: "We have the main thing to achieve victory, which is our character and our love for the motherland. That's why we're going to win."
"At the moment, we have all the possibilities to achieve the goals that the president mentioned for the special operation," he added.
He noted that when the special military operation began, there was a certain understanding that what happened was the result of the collapse of the Soviet Union and Ukraine's attempts to join NATO.
"And now there are slightly different goals, including the real consequences on the ground, to which you are directly linked," he continued, "which is the new Russian territory."
He stressed that the territory is Russian "now but we must understand that they must be protected. I'm sure we have the strength to do that."
