PARIS August 19. 2024 (Saba) - Last season's title holder Paris Saint-Germain achieved its second consecutive victory since the beginning of the current season by crushing its guest Montpellier with six clean goals last night, in the opening of the second stage of the French Football Championship.
Paris Saint-Germain's goals were scored by Bradley Barcola (4 and 53), Spaniard Marco Asensio (24), Moroccan Achraf Hakimi (58), Warren Zaire-Emery (60) and South Korean Lee Kang-in (82).
Saint-Germain had also begun its title defense campaign with a clear victory over its host Le Havre 4-1.
Saint-Germain raised its score to six points and rose to first place at the expense of Marseille, which hosts Reims on Sunday.
