GAZA August 18. 2024 (Saba) -The recent round of negotiations in Doha on Thursday and Friday made no progress in reaching a deal on the release of prisoners detained in Gaza, Hamas representative in Lebanon said on Sunday.

Biden's administration tries to portray the situation as positive, Ahmed Abdul-Hadi added in remarks carried by SAMA news agency.

Biden's statements on optimism, that the two parties are about to reach a deal and that there are only two outstanding questions, are aimed to depict everything as positive in media, he said.

The resistance axis chose to remain calm and to not respond to assassinations (of Haniyah and Shukr) lest the situation slides into a regional war, he argued.
