SANA'A August 18. 2024 (Saba) - Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh Bin Habtoor, a member of the Supreme Political Council, underscored the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between Yemen and the Russian Federation, as well as with the broader BRICS group of countries.
During a meeting with Fouad Al-Ghafari, the Prime Minister's Advisor for BRICS Affairs, Dr. Bin Habtoor highlighted the significance of the upcoming 96th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Yemen and Russia, on November 1, as an opportunity to reinforce contemporary relations across political, economic, and cultural domains.
He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the BRICS file, particularly in the context of the global shift towards alliances that resist colonial and imperialist agendas. Al-Ghafari provided Dr. Bin Habtoor with an overview of his recent visits to Moscow and Minsk, detailing the ongoing communication with Russian counterparts and the introduction of BRICS Yemen as an active participant in the emerging multipolar world order.
