SANA'A August 13. 2024 (Saba) - The Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission (SNACC) on Tuesday held an extensive meeting, presided over by its vice chairman Raidan al-Mutawakel, which included Commission members, department heads, and staff.
The meeting endorsed the recent radical changes in the government, highlighted by the formation of a new administration by the President of the Supreme Political Council.
This government, characterized by its inclusion of diverse competencies from across Yemen, is seen as a genuine national partnership infused with fresh perspectives.
The SNACC's meeting also expressed its support for the appointment of its former head, Judge Mujahid Ahmed Abdullah, as the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, wishing him success in his new role.
Al-Mutawakel emphasized the significant responsibilities facing the new government amidst ongoing challenges due to external aggression.
He underscored the importance of strengthening institutional structures, administrative reforms, and implementing the Commission's strategic plan for the year 1446 AH.
Commission members, including Eng. Harith Al-Omari, Salim al-Sayani, Dr. Abdulaziz al-Kumaim, and Dr. Maryam al-Jawfi, reiterated SNACC's commitment to combating corruption through diligent efforts, judicial follow-up, and financial integrity measures.
They highlighted the Commission's achievements in recovering billions, halting illicit activities, and fostering community participation in anti-corruption initiatives.
