SANA'A August 07. 2024 (Saba) - His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, made contacts with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, the Emergency Committee, and Hodeida, Taiz and Hajjah Governors.
During the contacts, President Al-Mashat was briefed on the efforts made by the local authorities to confront the damage caused by the floods that flooded the three provinces as a result of the heavy rains that fell in the past hours.
The President directed the concerned authorities to go to the field and do their duty towards the citizens in the affected areas, asking God to spare the homeland and the people all evil and harm.
The heavy rains caused floods that led to great damage to property and agricultural lands, and blocked roads, especially in Al-Hodeida province. The local authorities are making great efforts to mitigate the floods effects and provide relief to those affected.
