TEHRAN August 05. 2024 (Saba) -Iran has the right to defend its national security and sovereignty on its lands, and no one may deny Iran the right to responding to those who infringed its sovereignty, spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry said on Monday.
Defending our national security, sovereignty and terrestrial integrity is a decisive, non-debatable right, and no none may doubt Iran's legal right to punish wrongdoers and create deterrence against the Zionist entity, Nasser Kanani added at weekly press conference.
Asked about an American letter to Iran on possible reprisal to the Zionist assassination of Haniyah and related issues, Kanani said the U.S. administration, with all of its energy, is the main accomplice with the Zionist entity in this crime.
It is not Iran but Israel is responsible for escalation in the area, with direct, unrestricted support from the U.S., he added. "There is no need to send letters.
The U.S. needs to.. stop the Zionist entity, as this entity doesn't do any adventurous acts without green light from the U.S."
