GAZA August 04. 2024 (Saba) -The assassination of Ismael Haniyah, head of Hamas politburo, can only add to our strength and determination to keep on, the Islamic Resistance Movement said late on Saturday, as Hamas, "from the first hours of the Zionist assassination, started urgent meetings and consultations within its leading and Shura bodies to select a new leader."
Haniyah is not a martyr of Hamas only, but a martyr of the Palestinian people, the Arab and Muslim Uma and the World's nobles, the Movement added in a statement, citing the "massive reaction and solidarity across the Earth."
Haniyah assassination will only bestow more strength and determination on Hamas and the Palestinian resistance so as to continue his approach, and his pure blood will further ignite resistance fires, Hamas said.
The Movement assured the Palestinian people and the Arab and Muslim Uma that its executive bodies "are continuing their works, and have their effective mechanisms to sustain resistance course in the hardest conditions."
Hamas will declare the outcomes of its consultations once they finish, the statement said, dismissing press and social media reports, on the selection of certain figures to lead the Movement, as baseless.
