RAMALLAH August 03. 2024 (Saba) – Minister Mu'ayyad Sha'aban of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission on Saturday reported that during July, Zionist forces and settlers conducted 1,110 attacks.
The report highlights that occupation forces were responsible for 914 attacks, while settlers carried out 196 attacks.
The majority of these incidents occurred in Hebron (226 attacks), Nablus (164 attacks), and al-Quds (143 attacks), according to the report.
The attacks included land seizures, field executions, vandalism, uprooting trees, property seizures, closures, and barriers.
Settlers’ attacks were notably concentrated in Nablus (58 attacks), Hebron (50 attacks), and Ramallah (28 attacks).
Sha'aban emphasized that these attacks aim to undermine the peace process and prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.
He called for increased international solidarity and intervention, noting that settler violence is backed by official Israeli policies.
The report also detailed that settlers uprooted 970 trees, including 870 olive trees, and seized 4,500 dunums of land.
Additionally, 20 new settlement plans and five buffer zones were approved.
In Jericho, the occupation authorities seized 4,000 dunums to adjust reserve boundaries, and declared 441 dunums as state land in Ramallah to expand settlements.
Last month, the army enemy issued 11 land seizure orders affecting 62 dunums, with buffer zones planned around several settlements.
The report further noted the approval of 20 structural plans for West Bank and al-Quds settlements, with additional plans pending.
It also highlighted 98 demolition operations, affecting 135 facilities, including 62 homes, and notified the demolition of 16 more homes and facilities.
