MOSCOW August 02. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry on Friday said its air defenses shot down six Ukrainian drones last night over the Kursk region, and the southwestern Krasnodar region.
"Last night, air defense systems shot down two Ukrainian drones over the Kursk region, and four over the Krasnodar Territory," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Kiev forces continue to target the border areas southwest of Russia with drones and missiles on an almost daily basis, which confirms, according to President Vladimir Putin, the need to expand the scope of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, and to keep Kiev forces away from Russian regions with the range of missiles with which they try to hit Russia.
