Scenes broadcast by local platforms showed smoke rising after an explosion that rocked the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The Lebanese capital has been experiencing a state of tension for days in anticipation of an expected Zionist response to an attack that targeted the occupied Golan Heights and killed 12 children and a boy in the village of Majdal Shams.
The Zionist enemy and the United States held Hezbollah responsible for the attack, which the party denied.
