AL-KHALIL July 31. 2024 (Saba) -The al-Qassam Brigades in the Khalil al-Rahman governorate claimed two shooting attacks on Wednesday morning in the city of Al-Khalil, in the southern occupied West Bank.
The brigades said in a statement: "Our mujahideen were able to carry out two shooting operations this morning, the first of which hit from a distance zero extremist settlers near the usurped "Kiryat Arba", while the second operation targeted a Zionist force near the Ibrahimi Mosque."
It added: "While we confirm the adoption of the two operations by our brigades this morning, we stress that what was done is the first quick response to the cowardly assassination of our great national leader, the martyr Ismail Haniyeh."
The brigades confirmed that Al-Khalil governorate will be at the forefront of carrying out qualitative operations in the coming days, Allah willing.
Since this morning, the occupied West Bank has witnessed a number of resistance operations in different areas, following the announcement of the assassination of the head of Hamas' political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, most notably two shooting attacks in Al-Khalil.
Eyewitnesses reported shooting at enemy forces near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil, and the resisters withdrew peacefully.
A Zionist settler had earlier been seriously wounded in a stabbing and shooting attack near the settlement of Kiryat Arba in Al-Khalil.
The guerrilla fired at a Zionist vehicle between Kiryat Arba and Beit Einun, seized a weapon, and then attacked the driver, stabbing him in the hand and head.
The resistance was able to withdraw from the place, while the enemy forces deployed intensively in the place and closed the roads leading to the place, in search of the outlet.

The national and Islamic forces and factions in the occupied West Bank have announced a comprehensive strike in all governorates of the West Bank, condemning the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, and called for marches of anger and heading to the areas of contact with the occupation and its settlers.
