NEW DELHI July 31. 2024 (Saba) -At least 41 people were killed and tens of others were injured on Tuesday when the Indian southern state of Kerala saw earth collapses that led to the collapse of a main bridge and, thus, hindered rescue efforts.
Over 70 people were injured in these collapses, the state's minister of health, Fina George said.
Water likely swept many people away to the river, the 'Indian Express' paper said, as footages showed floods flowing through rocks and trees, and collapsed houses.
