GAZA July 30. 2024 (Saba) - The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine has mourned the loss of the prominent national leader and head of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in a Zionist bombing in Tehran early Wednesday morning.
In a statement, Islamic Jihad emphasized that this act of assassination will not deter the Palestinian people from continuing their resistance against Zionist aggression.
The movement extended condolences to Hamas, Haniyeh's family, and his supporters, affirming solidarity with Hamas in their struggle.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced Haniyeh's death, which occurred during his visit to Tehran for the inauguration of Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
Haniyeh had also met with Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Hamas mourned Haniyeh's loss, describing him as a dedicated leader and martyr who fell victim to a treacherous Zionist raid, underscoring the continuous threat and resistance faced by Palestinian leaders.
