SANA'A July 29. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting of the Public Works Sector and Office in the Capital Secretariat on Monday, headed by the Capital Secretary , Dr. Hamoud Abbad, discussed ways to raise works performance level and overcome the phenomena that distort the beauty and cleanliness of the capital, Sana'a.

The meeting, which was attended by the Head of the Planning Committee in the Secretariat Local Council, Sharaf Al-Hadi, the Undersecretary of the Works Sector, Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, the Director of the Works Office, Engineer Abdul Salam Al-Jaradi, his deputies, and the directors of the works areas in the directorates and related offices, focused on mechanisms for developing work, performance and efforts of works in the directorates and addressing existing problems.

While appreciating the efforts of the Public Works Office and Areas, especially in emergency works and dealing with flood damage, he stressed the importance of the Public Works Areas playing their role in controlling violations in the streets, markets and neighborhoods of the Secretariat in cooperation with the directors of the directorates and the relevant authorities, especially the security services.

Abbad pointed out the need to pay attention to improving the airport road in terms of afforestation and maintenance, stressing that there will be no tolerance for any negligence on this road due to its symbolism and great importance as it is the capital and its civilized appearance face .

The Capital Secretary also directed to prepare well for the rainy season, fill holes, remove concrete blocks, waste, markets, random boxes, and car wash water tanks from streets, sidewalks, and under bridges, as they distort the appearance of the capital.
