SANA'A July 27. 2024 (Saba) -The Ministry of Electricity and Energy, represented by the Energy Activities Council, granted on Saturday a temporary license to an investor to practice the temporary activity of generating and distributing electricity in the city of Radaa in Al-Bayda Governorate.
The license specified the geographical scope map of the temporary activity of the Radaa station, which belongs to the investor Mohamed Ali Al-Wahaibi and his partner, in the city of Radaa.
During the handover, the Minister of Electricity and Energy in the caretaker government, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, confirmed that the Activities Regulatory Council, in light of the minutes of its meeting No. "14" of 1445 AH, approved the granting of a temporary license certificate for the Radaa city station to practice the temporary activity of generating and distributing electrical energy, after providing the necessary guarantees for that.
Al-Bukhaiti pointed out that the license period is one full year, renewable, unless this temporary license is suspended, withdrawn or canceled by the ministry, according to the Electricity Law No. 1 of 2009, and the regulation regulating the temporary activity of generating and distributing electrical energy to consumers issued by the Prime Minister's Decree No. 33 of 1444 AH.
Al-Bukhaiti explained that these licenses are granted to the owners of stations that are committed to the decisions and regulations for their activities, including tariffs, cancellation of subscription, and not committing any violations.
He called on owners of private stations to apply for these licenses, which have been prepared by the Council of Energy Activities, in order to benefit from the privileges granted under them. He stressed the ministry's keenness to encourage investors and protect the rights of citizens.
