SANA'A July 24. 2024 (Saba) - The General Corporation for Grain Development and Production has received a plot of land in Bir l-Qahum in al-Hasaba area in the capital Sana'a, from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.
During the handover, the caretaker Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Eng. Abdulmalik al-Thawr, confirmed that this land will contribute to developing the institution’s infrastructure.
Al-Thawr praised the Corporation's efforts in developing and producing various grain crops and increasing local production of these crops.
Executive Director of the Grain Foundation Yahya al-Sayyani expressed his thanks to the Minister of Agriculture for his support for the Foundation, pointing out that this step represents a tributary to keeping pace with the expansion and development witnessed by the Foundation in accordance with the institutional building strategy.
In addition, Executive Director of the Corporation, along with the Director of Production Units Eng. Kamal Shamsan, was briefed on the progress of work in the Corporation’s industrial workshop and the preparations for the second phase of manufacturing agricultural machinery.
Al-Sayyani urged the technical and engineering staff at the workshop to make more efforts to implement the second phase of manufacturing, stressing keenness to provide the workshop’s needs of supplies and means according to the available capabilities.
