AMRAN July 24. 2024 (Saba) - Amran university, in collaboration with the University Student Forum, organized a cultural event to commemorate Ashura under the slogan "Away from Humiliation."
In his address, rector of the university Dr. Khaled al-Hawali highlighted the importance of commemorating Ashura to draw inspiration from its lessons and to remain steadfast in the fight for truth against falsehood.
Dr. Al-Hawali emphasized that the commemoration of Ashura marks a pivotal stage in the history of the Islamic nation.
It serves as a reminder to inspire patience, steadfastness, pride, and loyalty. He called for emulating Imam Hussein's approach in confronting tyrants and arrogant powers, noting that Imam Hussein sacrificed his life to uphold the word of God, distinguish between truth and falsehood, and combat oppression.
