WASHINGTON July 18. 2024 (Saba) - The White House announced that President Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid-19 while campaigning in Las Vegas.

In a statement on Wednesday, Biden assured the public he was "in good condition" after testing positive. "I feel good," Biden told reporters as he boarded Air Force One, heading to his home in Delaware.

White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed that Biden would be isolating at his Delaware residence while continuing to perform his duties.

"Biden is experiencing mild symptoms," said the president's doctor, adding that the president had received both the Covid vaccine and the booster shot. Symptoms reported include a runny nose, cough, and general fatigue.

Despite the diagnosis, the White House emphasized that President Biden will continue to fulfill his responsibilities while in isolation, noting that he will not deliver a scheduled speech in Las Vegas.
