SANA'A July 15. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expected scattered and varying rains in a number of provinces, strong winds on the eastern , southern coasts and the Socotra Archipelago during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by hailstones at times, are expected to fall in parts of Hajjah, Sana'a, Ibb, Dhamar, Amran, Taiz, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale', Saada, Raymah, Al Mahwit, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramaut and parts of the Tihama Plain provinces.
Scattered rains are also expected on parts of the coasts and deserts of Hadramaut, Al-Mahra, Shabwa and Al-Jawf provinces.
The center warned citizens against being in valleys and flood paths, and against thunderstorms in mountainous highlands where rain is expected.
It also warned vehicle drivers of low horizontal visibility due to rain or water murmur , fog, seafarers, fishermen, ship captains of sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts.
