SANA'A July 15. 2024 (Saba) - The Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption approved in its meeting on Monday, headed by the Vice Chairman of the Authority, Redan Al-Mutawakel, the referral of six defendants in cases of corruption, harming the interest of the state, seizure, facilitating the seizure and embezzlement of public funds to the Public Funds Prosecution specialized in corruption cases to complete the filing and initiation of the criminal case against them before the Public Funds and Anti-Corruption Court.

This came after the authority discussed the results of investigation and investigation procedures in a number of serious corruption cases, where the size of the damage amounted to 452 thousand and 495 dollars in addition to 49 million and 576 thousand riyals.

The Commission took measures and decisions against the defendants to suspend from work and seize funds and assets equivalent to the extent of damage to public funds.

The meeting also discussed a number of corruption cases and directed the completion of investigation procedures and referred them to the judiciary in accordance with the law.
