IBB July 15. 2024 (Saba) - The Security Department of Ibb province on Monday organized a solemn event to mark Ashura Day, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, under the theme "Humility is far from us."
During the event, Governor Abdulwahed Salah underscored the profound significance of drawing inspiration from Imam Hussein’s revolution against tyranny and global arrogance, notably led by "America, Britain, Israel/ Occupation, and their proxies."
Governor Salah highlighted how Imam Hussein’s courageous stance continues to resonate in the struggle for freedom, dignity, and justice, emphasizing the enduring lessons of sacrifice.
The event, attended by Brig. General Hadi Al-Kuhlani, Director of the Province's Security, as well as department heads, community leaders, and security unit commanders, featured remarks by Lieutenant Colonel Zaid Al-Naqeeb of the Province's Security Moral Guidance Office.
Al-Naqeeb drew parallels between Imam Hussein’s plight and the ongoing struggles of Palestinian and Yemeni people facing aggression from American, British, Zionist, Saudi, and Emirati forces.
Muhammad Al-Jarmouzi, Deputy Director of the Province's Guidance Office, concluded by affirming Imam Hussein’s revolution as a guiding light and school of thought for oppressed peoples worldwide.
