SANA'A July 13. 2024 (Saba) - Minister of Culture in the caretaker government, Abdullah Ahmed Al-Kabsi, on Saturday, visited Al-Nahrain Mosque in the historic city of Sanaa.
The minister, accompanied by a number of the ministry's leaders, was briefed on the characteristics and features of the cultural specificity of the authentic Yemeni traditional building of the mosque and its annexes.
He heard from the engineers a detailed explanation of the stages of the construction process, the controls for adhering to the traditional architectural style, and how to implement each of the stages, leading to achieving it at a level that reflects its specificity as an Islamic edifice that represents one of the evidences of traditional architecture in the old city of Sana’a.
The Minister of Culture praised the historical privacy of the mosque and the accuracy of the project’s implementation, expressing thanks to those in charge of it and its financiers for the efforts made in the context of coming up with this level of cultural, heritage and engineering commitment as it is an integral part of the privacy of ancient Sana’a.
