IBB July 13. 2024 (Sheba) - A meeting chaired by Governor Abdulwahed Salah in Ibb province on Saturday focused on projects being implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNPS) in the region.
The meeting reviewed a project matrix addressing essential needs in road infrastructure, water supply, sanitation, rural development, health, and hygiene sectors.
Discussions centered on the "Integrated Project to Restore Basic Services in Urban Cities - Phase Two," outlining plans for project implementation to benefit local communities and alleviate hardships exacerbated by ongoing challenges.
Governor Salah praised UNPS for funding vital projects aligned with the province's priorities, emphasizing the positive impact on residents in targeted areas. He underscored the importance of timely completion of road projects to improve traffic flow and citizen mobility.
Director of UNPS Rehana Zwar assured that projects would proceed according to local needs and available resources, highlighting collaborative efforts between UNPS and local authorities to ensure successful project delivery for developmental gains.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to expedite project execution in accordance with agreed-upon specifications, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing community development in Ibb province.
