SANA'A July 10. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected thunderstorms in several province, strong winds on the eastern , southern coasts , the Socotra Archipelago, hot weather in the desert & coastal areas during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather forecast issued by the centre, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), thunderstorms of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by hailstones, are expected to fall in parts of Hadramaut, Lahj Heights, Al Bayda, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah and Al Mahwit provinces.
Thunderstorms also fell outside the range of monitoring stations in parts of Hodeida, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Dhale', Hadramaut and Shabwa provinces.
The center warned citizens against being in the depths of valleys and flood paths, against thunderstorms, from low horizontal visibility due to rain or water rust, from sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts.
It also warned against hot , extremely hot climates in deserts, plains , coasts, advised against direct exposure to the sun’s rays and to drink plenty of fluids.
